Dem an der Harvard Medical School forschenden Immunologen Professor Dr. Klaus Rajewsky wird die Ehrendoktorwürde des Fachbereichs Medizin der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität verliehen. Auf der gleichen Veranstaltung wird auch Frank L. Douglas, MD, PhD, Mitglied des Managementboard und Executive Vice President for Drug Innovation & Approval der Firma Aventis, mit der Plakette des Fachbereichs Medizin der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität geehrt. Außerdem wird der Promotionspreis 2003 an drei Nachwuchs-Wissenschaftler verliehen.
