Am Eröffnungstag werden Workshops zu den Themen Radio-Frequency-Identification (RFID), Identity-Management, Netzwerksicherheit, Entwicklung einer Sicherheits-Policy sowie Forensics angeboten. Referate von Experten aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und öffentlichen Institutionen über IT-Security stehen im Mittelpunkt des zweiten Konferenztages. Zu den Teilnehmern zählen Brigadier Gerald Karner, Leiter der Abteilung Militärstrategie des Bundesministeriums für Landesverteidigung, Rainer Fahs, Senior Information Systems Engineer der Nato Air Command and Control Systems Agency (NACMA), Ernst Österreicher vom Bundeskriminalamt und Robert Niedermeier vom European Institute for Computer Anti-Virus Research (EICAR).
Lösungsansätze für Datensicherheit
Weiters stellen im Rahmen der Konferenz namhafte Firmen wie RSA Security, Siemens, Surfcontrol, Computer Associates, SAP und Microsoft ihre Lösungen für verschiedene Security-Themen vor. Die "2nd Information-Security-Conference" richtet sich an Sicherheitsexperten, Administratoren, Manager von IT-Unternehmen und Wissenschaftler sowie Entscheidungsträger in öffentlichen Institutionen.
Veranstaltet wird die zweitägige Konferenz vom Zentrum für Praxisorientierte Informatik der Donau-Universität Krems in Kooperation mit dem Fachmagazin "Computerwelt". Die "Information-Security-Conference" ist die größte Veranstaltung zum Thema IT-Security in Österreich und findet bereits zum zweiten Mal an der Donau-Universität Krems statt.
