Workshop "Analytical Methods"

Analytical methods for the detection and quantification of micropollutants are essential to evaluate their impact on the aquatic environment.
This dedicated workshop will provide an overview of different approaches to measure environmental concentrations and effects of various substances. Many compounds are known to be of concern with regard to their endocrine disrupting activity or toxicity, whereas others are not yet evaluated.
The development and application of new analytical instruments for emerging contaminants, such as many pharmaceuticals, comprises a range of sophisticated chemical analytical and tracing methods as well as molecular biological techniques.
