Advances in Life Science - Leica Scientific Forum

Die in 2005 begonnene wissenschaftliche Vortragsreihe unter dem Namen "Leica Scientific Forum - Advances in Life Science" wird in diesem Jahr mit dem Ziel fortgesetzt, die Kommunikation und Diskussion über neueste, wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse und Fortschritte in den Lebenswissenschaften zu fördern.

In 2006 beginnt die Veranstaltungsreihe am 16. März 2006 im Auditorium des DKFZ mit einem Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Tony Wilson, Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford zum Thema

New Twists for your old Microscope
Descriptions of progress in confocal system development including
· Real time imaging with non-laser sources
· Use of supercontinuum lasers light sources
· Optical sectioning in conventional microscopy
· Point spread function engineering for image resolution and contrast
