Der ehemalige Bayerische Kultusminister und emeritierte LMU-Professor Hans Maier feiert am 18. Juni 2006 seinen 75. Geburtstag. Ihm zu Ehren veranstaltet das Philosophie-Department der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) München am 17. Juni 2006 das Symposion "Christ und Zeit".
Auf dem eintägigen Symposion halten unter anderem die Professoren Rémi Brague (LMU/Paris I), Michael Burleigh (London), Michael Stolleis (Frankfurt a.M.) und Heinrich Oberreuter (Passau) Vorträge aus den Themenbereichen Religion und Politik. Abschließend wird Professor Hans Maier über "Lebensthemen - und wie sie einem zufallen" sprechen. Nach einem Empfang vor dem Senatssaal findet am Abend ein Konzert mit zwei Violoncelli von Hyun-Jung und Professor Julius Berger (Augsburg) statt.
