Unter der wissenschaftlichen Leitung von Prof. Dr. med. Michael Linden, Reha-Zentrum Seehof und Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, und Prof. Dr. med. Karl Heinz Mauritz, Klinik Berlin und Charité Universitätsmedizin, referieren am 22. und 23. Juni 2007 namhafte Experten den Stand des Forschungsbereiches medizinische Rehabilitation. Neben sozialmedizinischen und Evaluationsfragen ist die krankheitsbezogene Forschung eines der wichtigen Themen der Rehabilitationswissenschaft. Hierbei geht es um Klärung der Diagnostik und Differentialdiagnostik chronifizierender Krankheiten, die Untersuchung ihrer Pathogenese und Verlaufbedingungen, Entwicklung und Prüfung kurativer wie palliativer Behandlungen sowie die Primär-, Sekundär- und Tertiärprophylaxe.
