Graßls Vortrag ist der Auftakt der Ringvorlesung "Global Challenges: Kli-mawandel" im Sommersemester 2008 mit weiteren international renommierten Wissenschaftlern. Die Ringvorlesung beleuchtet den "Klimawandel" aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven und thematisiert naturwissenschaftliche, technologische, ökonomische und politische Aspekte. Thematische Schwerpunkte bilden die Entstehungszusammenhänge von Klimaveränderungen, die regionalen und nationalen Anpassungsstrategien sowie technologische Innovationen.
Die Vorlesung "Global Challenges: Klimawandel" ist eine gemeinsame Veranstaltung der Studienschwerpunkte Umweltwissenschaften, Technologie und internationale Entwicklung, Nachhaltige Gestaltung von Technik und Wissenschaft sowie Biotechnik.
