Als gefragter Gastredner hat Dr. van Lommel weltweit mehr als 150 Vorträge gehalten. Er erhielt 2005 den Greyson Research Award von der International Association of Near-Death Studies und 2006 den Lifetime Achievement Award des World Congress on Clinical and Preventive Cardiology. Dr. van Lommel hat seine Thesen in mehr als 20 Artikeln veröffentlicht. Im Erscheinen begriffen ist eine Monographie unter dem Titel "The Continuity of Consciousness".
Die Hochschule für Philosophie gewährleistet seit über 30 Jahren eine fundierte Ausbildung in allen Disziplinen der Philosophie - Logik, Wissenschaftstheorie, Erkenntnislehre, Sprachphilosophie, Metaphysik, Philosophische Anthropologie, Religionsphilosophie und Natürliche Gotteslehre, Naturphilosophie und Ethik - und die anderen Wissenschaften betreffenden philosophischen Fragen. Träger der Hochschule für Philosophie ist die Deutsche Provinz der Jesuiten http://www.jesuiten.org. Zulassungsvoraussetzung zum Studium der Philosophie ist die Allgemeine Hochschulreife. Für das Zusatzstudium Erwachsenenpädagogik ist ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium Voraussetzung.
