International Advanced ICAS / ApopTrain Training Course on "Advances in Cell Death Research - from Basic Principles to New Therapeutic Concepts"

International Advances ICAS / ApopTrain Training Course

Programmed cell death (apoptosis) is a fundamental biological process, which plays an important role in normal development and the adult organism. Deregulation of cell death is responsible for common human diseases, e.g. cancer. The potential therapeutic impact has turned the cell death research field into one of the hottest research areas in biomedicine in the last decade.

The objective of the course is to provide an overview on the basic mechanisms of apoptosis, its deregulation in human diseases and on emerging therapeutic strategies. We will be reviewing basic apoptosis signalling pathways and molecules, highlighting cutting-edge developments in cell death research and discussing the translation of new knowledge on cell death regulation in human diseases into medical application.

A variety of teaching methods, e.g. lectures, workshops, poster sessions and discussion groups shall facilitate the learning process. The participation in the course will be recognized by a certificate of the EACCME (European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education).

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
