"Diffusion tensor imaging and tractography: technique and clinical applications"
Gegenstand des auf Englisch gehaltenen Vortrages von Fortbildungsreferent Prof. Dr. Paul M. Parizel, MD, PhD, Professor and Chair, Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging, Antwerp University Hospital, Belgium, wird die Darstellung der bisherigen Datenlage bezüglich der Diffusion-Tensor-Bildgebung sein. Hierzu folgender Abstract:
"Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is an advanced MRI application, based on the Brownian motion of water molecules. The method provides a means of moving beyond macroscopic morphology to ultrastructural information of tissues, and especially white matter. DTI offers a unique insight into the fiber orientation and density of white matter tracts in the brain and spinal cord. DTI has been applied to many clinical problems and diseases, including psychiatric disorders, dementia, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, developmental disorders, stroke, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's, drug addiction, and spinal disorders, to name but a few.
In this presentation, the speaker shall explain the physical basis of DTI (why and how it works), the post-processing of DTI data (what to do with the information and how to interpret images), and explore a few selected clinical applications (tumors, demyelinating disease, developmental disorders, spinal cord). The speaker shall also address the limitations of the technique, and point out the need for standardization, both in the acquisition of data sets, and in the post-processing methods."

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
