Horst Zuse, Technische Universität Berlin/FH-Lausitz und Sohn des Erfinders Konrad Zuse, behandelt in der Vorlesung u. a. die Fragen, was man eigentlich früher gerechnet hat und warum man den Rechenautomaten brauchte. Darüber hinaus gibt er Einblicke in die Pionierzeit der Rechnerentwicklung und in das Lebenswerk von Prof. Dr. Konrad Zuse, dem Erfinder des weltweit ersten Computers.
