Der menschliche Körper ist wertvoll. Körperteile jeder Art sind für die medizinische Versorgung, Forschung und Wirtschaft von hohem Interesse. Ressourcenknappheit, Verteilungsgerechtigkeit, Persönlichkeitsrecht und Menschenwürde sind zentrale Momente, die in diesem Kontext zahlreiche Fragen aufwerfen: Gibt es eine (moralische) Pflicht, den eigenen Körper der Transplantationsmedizin oder Biobankenforschung zur Verfügung zu stellen? Wem gehören abgetrennte Körperteile? Wann ist der Mensch tot? Diese und weitere Problemfelder um den Körper, seine Teile und das Teilen werden Mediziner, Juristen und Ethiker beim diesjährigen Thüringentag für Philosophie in Jena diskutieren.
