Während traditionelle Unterhaltungsmedien zunehmend an Bedeutsamkeit verlieren, steigt die Nutzung von Computer- und Videospielen rasant an. Längst haben elektronische Spiele ihren festen Platz in Kinderzimmern erobert. Die Frage nach der Wirkung von derartigen Spielen wird sowohl von Eltern, Pädagogen, Medienwirkungsforscher als auch Politikern derzeit intensiv diskutiert.
Im Rahmen dieser Vortragsreihe liefert Prof. Craig Anderson (University of Iowa) am 1. Dezember in seinem englischsprachigen Beitrag neueste Befunde zur Wirkung von Computer- und Videospielen. Dabei betrachtet der Referent insbesondere den Einfluss von Gewaltspielen auf die Entwicklung aggressiver ersönlichkeitsmerkmale.
