Darmstadt, 5.2.2009. Warum kann man eine verkratzte DVD immer noch abspielen? Wie passen hunderte Digitalbilder auf eine Speicherkarte? Diese und weitere Geheimnisse lüftet die Didaktik der Informatik an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt mit der Ausstellung "Abenteuer Informatik". Die Ausstellung ist vom 5. Februar bis 29. April 2009 im karo 5, dem neuen Eingangsgebäude der TU Darmstadt am Karolinenplatz 5, zu sehen. Sie ist montags bis freitags von 7.30 Uhr bis 22.00 Uhr geöffnet. Der Eintritt ist kostenfrei.
An mehr als 15 Experimentier-Stationen können Besucherinnen und Besucher aller Alters- und Berufsgruppen Informatik entdecken, mit eigenen Händen begreifen und anschließend viele Fragen rund um die Informatik im Alltag und der Wissenschaft selbst beantworten.
Die Ausstellung "Abenteuer Informatik" hat Dr. Jens Gallenbacher initiiert und konzipiert, der schon seit 1997 am Fachbereich Informatik der TU Darmstadt für die Ausbildung von Informatiklehrern zuständig ist. Die Ausstellung dient auch als Plattform, neue Unterrichtskonzepte und -methoden für die Schulinformatik empirisch zu erproben und zu verbessern.
