The Stakeholders event aimed at gathering key representatives from the European water sector to discuss strategic issues to foster the research and technology competitiveness in Europe.
The goals of this meeting are to present outcomes related to risks management and setting priorities in the general context of the current financial crisis. How manage priorities in this context? What are the kinds of risks? How can we collaborate and work together to seize opportunities especially for projects financing?
High-level representatives from European institutions including the Direction of Research of the European Commission, The European Investment Bank and the European Technology Platform will conduct a first panel on European water research.
A second panel will look at concrete steps and frameworks to better implement the Strategic Research Agenda. Members from the water sector implicated in the WssTP pilots will conduct presentations and discussions aiming at key representatives from the water and sanitation sector.
What is the WssTP?
The Water supply and sanitation Technology Platform (WssTP) is a legitimate European Research & Technology Platform. It was created by the European Commission in 2004 for Research and Technology Development in the water industry. The WssTP aims to develop an effective collaboration between the different communities working in the water sector. The WssTP provides strategic answers for the water research future challenges. It counts 43 members and 128 contributors from Industries, Academic, Research, Policy Makers and water Users.
