Die Informationstechnische Gesellschaft im VDE organisiert den Kongress in Zusammenarbeit mit der Gesellschaft für Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik im OVE. In über 400 Fachbeiträgen, Symposien und Workshops bewerten Experten aus Wissenschaft und Industrie den aktuellen Stand der photonischen Technologie sowie zukünftiger Telekommunikationsnetzwerke. Im Mittelpunkt des Kongresses stehen Werkstoffe, Bauteile und Systeme für photonische Netzwerke.
