Das vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) geförderte Forschungsprogramm BIOLOG (Biodiversität und globaler Wandel) führt am 29. und 30. März 2010 im Umweltforum Auferstehungskirche in Berlin eine Veranstaltung durch, zu der wir Sie herzlich einladen. Das Ziel der Veranstaltung ist, aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse zu biologischer Vielfalt vorzustellen und Handlungsoptionen für Politik und Anwendungspraxis zu diskutieren.
Hintergrund ist das Internationale Jahr der biologischen Vielfalt 2010, in dem die Bundesrepublik Deutschland die Präsidentschaft der UN Konvention zur biologischen Vielfalt innehat. Wissenschaft und Forschung stellen sich der öffentlichen Debatte über ihre Beiträge zu Schutz und nachhaltiger Nutzung von Biodiversität. Die Umsetzung der Ziele internationaler Abkommen und nationaler Programme steht dabei im Mittelpunkt.
