Angesichts der aktuellen Krise stellt sich die Frage dringlicher denn je, wie wir Wirtschaft anders und besser denken und gestalten können. Ökonomisches Handeln ist auch eine Form kultureller Praxis und als solche von besonderem Interesse: Wie hat sich das Verhältnis von Wirtschaft und Kultur historisch gewandelt? Wie funktioniert das Wirtschaften in anderen zeitgenössischen Kulturen? Und vor allem: Wie kann und soll unsere Wirtschaftswelt in Zukunft aussehen? Diesen und anderen Fragen stellen sich hochkarätige Vertreterinnen und Vertreter aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Kultur an drei Tagen im Mai und Juni 2010 im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe „Kulturen des Wirtschaftens“.
Die erste Tagung „Einblicke: Wunder Wirtschaft?“ untersucht die Facetten des Wandels von Wirtschaftsformen. Die zweite Veranstaltung „Blickwechsel: Wirtschaft wider Willen?“ will den Zusammenhang zwischen Wirtschaft und Kultur sichtbar machen. Die dritte Konferenz „Durchblicke: Gewinnen wollen!“ soll dazu anstiften, Utopien für eine neue Kultur des Wirtschaftens zu entwickeln.
