Die Kapitelüberschriften des schmalen Büchleins wie „Darf man überhaupt Jude sagen?“ oder „Müssen Sie ihn mit Schalom begrüßen?“ klingen fast nach Gebrauchsanweisung, doch wird diese Erwartung enttäuscht. Stattdessen darf der Leser mit und über die Kunstfigur Blumberg fröhlich lachen und lernt einfach einen Menschen kennen. Einen, der nicht viel anders ist als man selbst.
Michael Wuliger wurde 1951 in London geboren und wuchs in Wiesbaden auf. Heute ist er Feuilletonredakteur bei der „Jüdischen Allgemeinen“ in Berlin. Sein jüdisches Idol ist der Clown Krusty aus der TV-Serie „Die Simpsons“.
Die Veranstaltung in der Hochschulbibliothek (Grantham-Allee 20 in Sankt Augustin) findet in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Verein „Gedenkstätte Landjuden an der Sieg“, der Bücherstube Sankt Augustin und dem Rhein-Sieg-Kreis statt.
