The artist will be showing her most recent works, which are made of stainless-steel wire, at the Project Space. The sculptures, created in discussion dialogue with Arthur I. Miller, provide the viewer with an idea of the phenomena of the universe which are basically invisible and difficult to grasp.
The exhibition will be launched on 9 September 2010 at 6pm with a lecture by Arthur I. Miller and Fiorella Lavado at the Robert-Koch-Forum of the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. With the title "A Journey Between Two Worlds" they will introduce the theme of the exhibition. The exhibition will be presented at the Schering Stiftung from 10 September.
A panel discussion with the title “Beyond Scientific Visualisation” will take place at the Schering Stiftung on 7 October 2010 at 7pm. The five panel members will approach the topic from a scientific or artistic background and will consider questions such as “Are collaborations between artists and scientists able to produce work capable of advancing scientific research?“, “Is art able to serve science without losing its artistic integrity?“ or “Are artistic concepts, like beauty, symmetry, and aesthetics, able to fertilize the increasingly complex and abstract visual language of science?“.
Please register for the panel discussion at info@scheringstiftung.de
