Der Schwerpunkt der Tagung e-motion lautet in diesem Jahr "Zukunft von Wirtschaft und Arbeit" und behandelt die Frage, wie die neuen Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien die drei Themenfelder
* Handel in der Stadt
* Verkehr und Logistik
* Unternehmensorganisation
beeinflusst. Durch die neuen Technologien entsteht eine Ort- und Zeitlosigkeit, die neue Standortfreiheiten für wirtschaftliche Aktivitäten eröffnen. Der bequeme Einkauf von zu Hause, die innovativen Konzepte zur Abwicklung von Güterverkehr oder die neuen Möglichkeiten der mobilen Arbeitsorganisation – all diese Trends stehen im Zusammenhang mit den neuen Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien und bleiben nicht ohne Rückwirkung auf die Entwicklung unserer Städte.
