Der schwedische Lyriker, Philosoph und Romancier Lars Gustafsson ist nach seiner Zeit als Professor an der University of Texas in Austin (1983-2006) in seine Heimat zurückgekehrt. Neben anderen internationalen Literaturpreisen erhielt er 2009 die Goethe-Medaille der Stadt Weimar.
Harald Hartung, geboren im westfälischen Herne, lebt seit den sechziger Jahren als Lyriker, Essayist und Kritiker in Berlin. Er erhielt für seine Lyrik zahlreiche Auszeichnungen, u.a. 2003 den Würth-Preis für Europäische Literatur und 2009 den Johann Heinrich Merck-Preis.
Gustafsson wird sein Werk ›Warme Zimmer und kalte‹präsentieren. Hartung liest aus ›Wintermalerei‹. Dirk von Petersdorf wird im Anschluss ein Gespräch mit den beiden Autoren führen.
