While recent years have seen an ever growing demand for mass spectrometry-based protein identifications in biological research, there is a robust and rapidly increasing trend for analyzing proteomic samples in a quantitative fashion. The continuing emergence of new and improved mass spectrometric instrumentation, novel labeling techniques and data interpretation tools makes quantitative mass spectrometry an especially vibrant and challenging field within bioanalytical chemistry.
Quantitative mass spectrometry can be defined by extending the natural analytical power of mass spectrometry to quantitative features, either relative or absolute quantification of molecular species, such as protein or peptides. Quantitative data sets are essential in protein profiling studies but are increasingly used for the characterization of protein complexes or the detailed elucidation of signaling pathways.
Especially in the context of the latter, quantitative techniques are used in conjunction with methods for the analysis of post-translational modifications.
We believe that integration of these two technologies will be of utmost importance in near future; therefore, topics and invited speakers for the conference have been selected around these two basic themes. We aimed for a balance between different disciplines and topics, with particular emphasis on biological applications of quantitative mass spectrometry, data interpretation, novel technologies and, most importantly, practical issues in the implementation of these techniques.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
