Der Referent wird vor diesem Hintergrund prüfen, inwieweit das im Januar 2011 in Kraft getretene Restrukturierungsgesetz hier eine wirkungsvolle Lösung anbietet - oder ob wir uns daran gewöhnen müssen, weiterhin mit systemischen Finanzkrisen zu leben.
Prof. Dr. Jan Pieter Krahnen ist Direktor des Center for Fincancial Studies und Professor für Kreditwirtschaft und Finanzierung an der Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main. Er ist Fellow des Centre for Economic Policy Research, London, und Präsident der European Finance Association. Er forscht aktuell u. a. zu Fragen der Finanzmarktregulierung.
Der Vortrag findet statt im Rahmen der Akademievorlesungen im Sommersemester 2011 "Am Gelde hängt doch alles..." der Akademie der Wissenschaften in Hamburg.
