Affinity - Molecular binding and recognition

The conference is intended to highlight the scientific advances on molecular binding and recognition through life sciences, bioengineering and nanotechnologies.

Active researchers, academic and industrialists are welcome to participate in the 19th Meeting of the International Society for Molecular Recognition - Affinity 2011 - which will be held from the 16 to 19 June 2011, in Tavira, Portugal.

The conference is intended to highlight the scientific advances on molecular binding and recognition through life sciences, bioengineering and nanotechnologies. Particular focus will be given to the recognition aspects related to cell signalling and differentiation, to the development and application of devices and methodologies based on affinity and molecular recognition, mainly in purification process engineering and biosensors, as well as novel affinity based approaches merging nanotechnology and biorecognition.

Scientific Sessions

Evolutionary Engineering for Affinity and Drug Design; Kinetics & Thermodynamics of Affinity Interactions; Affinity Interactions in Cell Biology & Health; Biomaterials, Biomimetics & Self Assembling; Affinity Based Bioprocessing: Glyco-Compounds in Bioprocessing - Nucleic Acids Bioprocessing - Novel Supports & Models for Chromatography - Affinity Ligands & Resins; Nanotec & Single Molecule Detection

Keynote Lectures:

Alois Jungbauer, "Staphylococcal protein A and camelid antibody affinity chromatography: engineering principles and surface characterization"
Christopher Lowe, "Computational modeling and combinatorial techniques for the design and implementation of novel affinity adsorbents for biopharmaceuticals"
Andreas Plückthun, "Towards single-molecule proteomics with designed binding proteins"

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
