In dem Symposium geht es um die effiziente stoffliche und energetische Nutzung städtischer Abfälle und Abwässer. Das Vortragsprogramm bietet Informationen zur Inventur, Charakterisierung, Erfassung, Logistik, Vorbehandlung und Konversion von Bioressourcen zu Produkten wie Biogas, Bioethanol, Humus und Düngemitteln. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die Technologie-Integration in bestehende regionale Systeme.
Das Symposium wird durch eine Paneldiskussion unter der Überschrift „Nachhaltige Region“ abgerundet.
