Die Technik um uns herum wird immer komplizierter. Die Funktionalität von immer mehr Geräten des Alltags wird maßgeblich durch ihre Software dargestellt. Mit den Erfahrungen am heimischen PC im Hinterkopf stellt man sich berechtigt die Frage, wie zuverlässig solche Systeme sein können. Da die Software selbst abstrakt bleibt, kann man ihre Zuverlässigkeit nicht trivial erfassen. Die Vorlesung führt hier in die Prinzipien der Absicherung von Software ein und erklärt, wie im Kontext moderner Entwicklungsmethodik ein angemessenes Sicherheitsniveau erreicht werden kann. Sie stellt die verschiedenen Werkzeuge vor und zeigt, dass für wirkliche Zuverlässigkeit von Software ein abgestimmtes Zusammenspiel erforderlich ist.
