Zu der Konferenz werden hochrangige Vertreter und Experten aus Wirtschaft und Politik, von Hilfsorganisationen und aus der Forschung erwartet. In verschiedenen Workshops und Vorträgen werden logistische Herausforderungen bei Katastropheneinsätzen und die medizinische Versorgung in Krisenregionen diskutiert. Mitorganisatoren der Konferenz sind INSEAD, eine der weltweit führenden Business Schools, das amerikanische Georgia Institute of Technology und die Humanitarian Logistics Association (HLA).
