Für die musikalische Umrahmung sorgen die Mezzosopranistin Nadja Steinhardt und die Pianistin Francesca Portora.
Der Wagner-Abend soll den Auftakt geben für weitere Veranstaltungen, bei denen sich Mitarbeiter der Universität, Studentinnen und Studenten und die interessierte Öffentlichkeit mit der Person und dem Werk Richard Wagners befassen können. Der saarländische Richard-Wagner-Verband möchte damit die wissenschaftliche Auseinandersetzung mit dem bedeutenden Komponisten fördern. Eröffnet wird die interdisziplinäre Auftaktveranstaltung von Jura-Professor Helmut Rüssmann.
