The aim of the symposium is to question the development of urbanities in the 21st century under the duality of globalization and locality from the perspectives of ARCHITECTURE, URBAN DESIGN, and DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION. The symposium will reflect both on current aspects of these disciplines in the context of globalization and local solutions, as well as on the question of how trends and changes in urbanization patterns will influence the future understanding of architecture, urban design and development cooperation.
Thus, it is a two-fold approach toward grasping the complexity of globalizing urbanities and localizing solutions. The final discussion round will include all speakers as well as Prof. Peter Herrle and others. In the evening there will be a reception at the occasion of Prof. Dr. Peter Herrle‘s retirement.

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
