Die Hauptthemen der diesjährigen Jahrestagung liegen an der Schnittstelle zwischen neuen Entwicklungen der Labordiagnostik und ihrer praxisrelevanten Umsetzung. Im Mittelpunkt stehen die Resultate aus neuen klinisch-epidemiologischen Studien zum Metabolismus, zur Epigenetik häufiger Volkskrankheiten, die Validierung neuer Biomarker, innovative bioanalytische Methoden, sowie moderner präventiven Diagnostik. Ziel des Kongresses ist es somit aktuelle Erkenntnisse der Grundlagenforschung mit praxisorientierter medizinischer Labordiagnostik zu verbinden und die Entwicklung einer am einzelnen Patienten orientierten Diagnostik nachhaltig voranzutreiben.
