Der ungebremste Anstieg von Treibhausgasen in der Atmosphäre hat stärkere Auswirkungen als bislang von Forschern vorhergesagt wurde. Zudem wird es immer
unwahrscheinlicher, dass der Anstieg der Erdtemperatur in diesem Jahrhundert auf 2°C beschränkt werden kann. Müssen gezielte technische Eingriffe ins Klimasystem (Klima-Engineering) die Kontrolle der Emissionen unterstützen, oder schaden sie eher? Funktioniert Klima- Engineering überhaupt? Und gibt es dafür einen wirksamen internationalen Rechtsrahmen?
Diese Veranstaltung ist Teil der gemeinsamen Veranstaltungsreihe "Kiel Institute Policy Lunch an der Hertie School of Governance" der Hertie School of Governance und des Institut für Weltwirtschaft an der Universität Kiel (IfW). Im Rahmen der Reihe werden regelmäßig politische Entscheidungsträger zur Debatte eingeladen.
