Wellpappe ist ein echtes Naturtalent. Ihre stabile und gleichzeitig leichte Wellenkonstruktion bildet ein schützendes Polster für Transportgüter aller Art und sorgt dafür, dass Geschenke, Handelswaren und Industriegüter sicher ankommen. Darüber hinaus ist die Umweltverträglichkeit des Packstoffs hervorragend: Wellpappe besteht zu 100 Prozent aus nachwachsenden Rohstoffen und wird nach Gebrauch nahezu vollständig recycelt. In der Vorlesung zeigt Prof. Angerhöfer, wie Wellpappe produziert und seine Stabilität erzeugt wird. Es werden physikalische Ansätze hergeleitet, aus denen die Festigkeit von Wellpappe und Wellpappe-Verpackungen berechnet werden kann und es werden Messmethoden zur Überprüfung der Stabilität dargestellt.

Das Programmangebot richtet sich an Kinder von 9 bis 12 Jahren (KinderUni+). Die Vorlesungen sind kostenlos. Um eine Anmeldung ab 08. Oktober 2012 (siehe unten stehende Homepage) wird gebeten, es gibt jedoch meist ein Restkartenkontingent für Kurzentschlossene!
