Feierlich eröffnet wird die Ausstellung am Abend des 15. Januar um 18.00 Uhr vom Rektor der Universität Greifswald, Professor Dr. Rainer Westermann, dem Oberbürgermeister der Universitäts- und Hansestadt Greifswald, Dr. Arthur König, der Direktorin des Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskollegs, Professor Dr. Bärbel Friedrich, der Generalsekretärin der DFG, Dorothee Dzwonnek, und dem Präsidenten des RKI, Professor Dr. Reinhard Burger. Den Festvortrag hält Professor Dr. Dr. h. c. mult. Jörg Hacker, Präsident der Deutschen Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina – Nationale Akademie der Wissenschaften zum Thema „Menschen, Seuchen und Mikroben – Infektionen als gesellschaftliche Herausforderung“. Journalisten sind auch zur Eröffnung herzlich eingeladen.
