First Cologne Aging Conference

CECAD - the Cologne Cluster of Excellence invites the international scientific community of Aging Research

The Cologne Cluster of Excellence on Cellular Stress Responses in Aging-Associated Diseases (CECAD) at the University of Cologne is rapidly pushing forward research into the mechanism and regulation of aging process. Our vision is to gain a better understanding of the molecular basis of aging, from which to develop new treatments for aging- associated diseases such as cancer, diabetes, kidney failure or neurodegenerative disorders. Over 400 researchers from the University, University Hospital and Max Planck Institutes for Biology of Aging and for Neurological Research, as well as the German Center of Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) form the closely knitted, international and interdisciplinary CECAD team. Through CECAD’s achievements, Cologne now holds a leading position in aging research, offering enormous possibilities for the development of innovative therapeutic approaches to the challenges facing our aging society.

From May 2 until May 4 CECAD presents the First Cologne Aging Conference: 18 high-ranking international experts from the field of aging research will give an exclusive inside into their promising work. The symposium thus offers a unique platform for communication within the international community of aging research and prepares the ground to exploit potential synergies for optimal research results.

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
