Chair des Panels sind Prof. Dr. Gisela Trommsdorff (Präsidentin der Deutsch-Japanischen Gesellschaft für Sozialwissenschaften) und Prof. Dr. Mototaka Mori (Waseda Universität, Tokio). Teilnehmer sind: Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Jagodzinski, Universität Köln; Prof. Dr. Yukiko Uchida, Universität Kyoto und Prof. Dr. Heather Hofmeister, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main.
Die Abendveranstaltung findet im Rahmen der Jubiläumsveranstaltungen der Werner Reimers Stiftung, in Kooperation mit der Max Weber Stiftung – Deutsche Geisteswissenschaftliche Institute im Ausland, dem Deutschen Institut für Japanstudien und der Deutsch-Japanischen Gesellschaft für Sozialwissenschaften statt.
