Professor Dr. Derek E. G. Briggs, Professor für Paläontologie und Geologie an der renommierten Yale University/USA, wird in der letzten Augustwoche die Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Universität Greifswald besuchen. Im Rahmen dieses Besuches wird er am Mittwoch, den 28. August 2013 einen öffentlichen Vortrag an der Universität Greifswald zum Thema „Exceptionally preserved fossils: critical evidence of the history of life“ halten, zu dem alle Interessierten herzlich eingeladen sind. Der Vortrag wird um 17:15 Uhr im Hörsaal des Zoologischen Institutes in der Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Straße 11/12 stattfinden. Gastgeber ist die AG Cytologie und Evolutionsbiologie. Die Vortragssprache wird Englisch sein, jedoch ist ein Vortrag von Professor Briggs auch für weniger in Englisch geübte Zuhörer nicht nur allein aufgrund der präsentierten Bilder ein Erlebnis.
