Der SmartTransNet e.V. hat sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die Bekanntheit und Akzeptanz von Smart Materials in Forschung und Lehre, Industrie und Öffentlichkeit zu erhöhen. Der Verein bietet einen Raum für die transdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit von Unternehmen und Wissenschaft.
Mitglieder im SmartTransNet e.V. sind Partner des Konsortiums »smart3 | materials – solutions – growth«, das vom Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung im Rahmen des Forschungsprogramms »Zwanzig20 – Partnerschaft für Innovationen« gefördert wird.
