On October 19 and 20, international scholars will gather at ECLA of Bard to discuss recent discoveries and emerging research on early Pythagorean number theory beyond disciplinary boundaries and time periods, in a framework that grapples with the typical segregation of academic disciplines. The workshop participants will aim to build an innovative and integrative account of one important legacy of Pythagorean science in cultural production.

This workshop is part of the Pythagorean Week (October 19-24, Berlin). Scholars from around the world meet in Berlin for a unique series of events offering newly emerging interdisciplinary insights into the sources and reception of Pythagoreanism. The Pythagorean Week is a cooperation between Staatsbibliothek Berlin, ECLA of Bard and Freie Universität Berlin.
