Die Entwicklung von bankaufsichtlichen Standards wird seit 40 Jahren durch eine zunehmend intensivere grenzüberschreitende Kooperation der Aufsichtsbehörden geprägt. Das Fundament globaler Mindeststandards sichert gleiche Wettbewerbsbedingungen und hilft, Regulierungsarbitrage zu vermeiden. Taktgeber sind der Baseler Ausschuss für Bankenaufsicht und das Financial Stability Board. Aktuelle Meilensteine in Europa sind die Europäische Bankenaufsichtsbehörde und der für 2014 geplante einheitliche europäische Aufsichtsmechanismus sowie die weiteren Elemente der Bankenunion.
Sabine Lautenschläger erläutert die Darstellung der Entwicklung von Bankenaufsichtsstandards praktisch anhand der Regulierung von Vergütungssystemen.
Im Anschluss moderiert Professor Dr. Christoph Schalast, Professor für Mergers & Acquisitions, Wirtschaftsrecht und Europarecht, an der Frankfurt School, die Diskussion zwischen den Gästen und der Referentin.
