Die Abgrenzung von einer Depression, Delir und Demenz und der Umgang mit der Diagnose, stehen im Mittelpunkt dieser Fachtagung des Kuratoriums Deutsche Altershilfe. Vorgestellt werden Instrumente und typische Erkennungsmerkmale aber auch neueste wissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse der medizinischen Diagnostik. Erläutert wird auch, wie man Betroffene und Angehörige kompetent in einer solch schwierigen Situation begleiten kann. Kommunikation spielt hier eine wesentliche Rolle. Die Möglichkeiten von Profis, aber auch pflegenden Angehörigen, Kommunikation in der Beziehungsgestaltung und der Alltags¬bewältigung zu nutzen, veranschaulichen erfahrene ExpertInnen.
