Im Rahmen des Projektes "Renaissance des Barockschlosses" wird heute der Manfred-Lautenschläger-Hörsaal eingeweiht. Festredner ist der ehemalige Rektor der Uni Mannheim und heutige Wissenschaftsminister Prof.Dr. Peter Frankenberg, er spricht zum Thema: "Die Hochschulen vor den Herausforderungen des 21. Jahrhunderts."
Im Anschluss wird das MLP-Forum feierlich eingeweiht. Im Foyer des Erdgeschosses, dem MLP-Forum und im oberen Stockwerk findet eine MLP-Party statt. Es spielt die Band "Colori di Vita".
