Das Leuchtturmprojekt "green2store" der Förderinitiative Energiespeicher des Bundeswirt-schaftsministeriums startet seinen bundesweiten Feldtest zur Stromspeicherung in der Cloud. Zwölf dezentral installierte Stromspeicher in der Bundesrepublik sind über Cloud-Computing miteinander zu einem virtuellen Großspeicher zusammengeschlossen, um mehr erneuerbare Energien in das Stromnetz integrieren zu können. Das Konsortium der Industriepartner EWE (Konsortialführer), EWE NETZ, Alcatel-Lucent, Süwag Energie, BTC und ABB untersucht gemeinsam mit seinen Forschungspartnern, dem Informatik-Institut OFFIS, dem EWE-Forschungszentrum NEXT ENERGY und dem Institut elenia der TU Braunschweig, welchen Beitrag Stromspeicher für die Energiewende leisten können.
