Dr. Wolfgang Lauer vom Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte (BfArM) greift am Montag, 16. November von 12 bis 12.30 Uhr, am MEDICA-Stand der Bundesregierung in Halle 15/B05 ein Trendthema auf: „Medical Apps: Wellness- oder Medizinprodukte?“. Mobile Softwareanwendungen sind aus dem täglichen Leben nicht mehr wegzudenken. Das gilt auch für den Gesundheitsbereich. Apps vermessen unsere Fitness, geben Gesundheitstipps, analysieren physiologische Daten und berechnen die Dosierung von Medikamenten. In seinem Vortrag wird Dr. Lauer die Grenzen zwischen Wellnessanwendung und Medizinprodukt aufzeigen. Er wird auch darauf eingehen, wann eine Softwareanwendung ein Medizinprodukt ist und welche regulatorischen Anforderungen sie in diesem Falle erfüllen muss.
