For the 7th time and for the first time in Germany, international academics meet to discuss new findings in experimental finance. This research area includes experiments on asset markets as well as individual investor decision making. Experimental finance is a young and growing field that allows studying behavior of investors in a controlled lab environment. For example, experimental asset markets are analyzed to learn about why and when speculative bubbles occur and how to predict them.
