The panel will discuss the fundamental contribution that the G20 process can bring to the world today, especially when globalisation faces such severe challenges. The panellists will address how the legitimacy and efficiency of this key institution can be - and indeed are being - improved under the German Presidency.
The panel discussion will further offer suggestions for improving the effectiveness of the G20 in light of the diverse constituencies that the forum is accountable to, and also the multiple issue-areas that it is committed to addressing. A special value-added that the GIGA discussion brings is new insights into the views, aspirations, and potential of the member states from the regions and beyond.
