Die Universität Speyer ist Förderhochschule im Rahmen der Initiative „Innovative Hochschule“ des Bundesministeriums für Bildung und Forschung. Mit diesem Programm sollen High-Tech-Strategien und Innovationen sowie die strategische Rolle der Hochschulen im regionalen Innovationssystem unterstützt werden. Die Tagung will einen Beitrag leisten zum wechselseitigen Austausch von Hochschulen mit Akteuren aus Wirtschaft, Verwaltung, Kultur und Gesellschaft und zum Transfer innovativer Methoden und Erkenntnisse.
Den Wirtschaftsjunioren gehören Unternehmer und junge Führungskräfte an. Zu ihren Aufgaben zählen die Pflege von Partnerschaften und die Unterstützung von Projekten, die
sich den Themenfeldern der Wirtschaft und der Zukunft widmen. Die Veranstaltungen haben zum Ziel, eine Austauschplattform zu bieten und die Führungsfähigkeiten der
Teilnehmer auszubilden.
