Date: 18-20 July 2018
All PhD-Students and Post-Docs (and advanced students) are welcome!
The Summer School will focus on the discussion of some of Rae Langton’s recent texts. Rae Langton is known for combining speech act theory with topics from political and feminist philosophy, such as discrimination, hate speech and pornography. The summer School will deal mainly with her as yet unpublished texts ”The Authority of Hate Speech”, “Blocking as Counter Speech” and “How to Get a Norm from a Speech Act”, possibly also with some of the papers Langton collected in her “Sexual Solipsism”.
The texts will be sent out to the participants.
There will be no funding available for travel cost or accommodation, but there will be no fee.
If you would like to participate, please
contact both organizers and also michaela.langhof@uni-due.de via email,
briefly explain your interest and
indicate whether you want to provide a short commentary on one of Langton´s texts and, if so, on which of them.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
