In "1001 Nacht" wollen der Rektor der DHV Speyer, Univ.-Professor Dr. Rudolf Fisch und Oberbürgermeister Werner Schineller als Vorsitzender der Hochschulvereinigung am 19. Juli 2002 ihre Gäste entführen. Gemeinsam mit der Hörerschaft der Hochschule laden sie zum traditionellen Sommerball ein.
Ab 19.30 Uhr werden heiße Rhythmen, reichhaltiges Essen und gute Unterhaltung das umfangreiche Programm in der Aula und im Foyer der Hochschule bestimmen. Eine reichhaltige Tombola, Showeinlagen der Theatergruppe der Hochschule und - entsprechend dem Motto des Abends - eine Bauchtanzvorführung runden das Programm ab.
