Structural health monitoring of critical infrastructure
with Dr. Bianca Weihnacht
(Fraunhofer IKTS, Systems for Condition Monitoring)
The Condition Monitoring group deals with various NDT techniques, such as Acoustic Emission and Acousto Ultrasonics to monitor industrial objects like wind turbines, pipes, tanks, aerospace as well as automotive components. Process monitoring for packaging machines and gear boxes is also available. The focus for all these applications lies on a complete system development from design, electronics development, testing in lab and field as well as certification.
